Practice Growth

Google Business Profile: found on Google, easy to book, safe with reviews.

For most clinics, the Google listing is what a patient sees before your website. We keep it accurate, link it to booking, and build a review flow that never puts patient information at risk.

HIPAA and HITECH-aligned, 42 CFR Part 2-ready. Built in from the first line of code.
Built For

Who this is for

  • Practices with a Google listing that is wrong, incomplete, or unclaimed
  • Clinics that get few reviews from patients who are happy
  • Owners unsure how to reply to a review without breaking privacy rules
  • Practices whose listing does not link to booking
  • Medical, dental, and behavioral health practices with a staffed location
What is included

What a Google Business Profile needs to do its job.

Set up correctly first, then kept current, with patient privacy built into how reviews are handled.

Accuracy

Wrong hours or details on Google?

A patient who arrives to a closed door because of an old listing rarely comes back.

We check and correct the name, address, hours, services, and categories, and keep them current when anything changes.

Patients find the right information the first time.
Booking link

Patients find you, then have to hunt for how to book?

A listing that stops at a phone number loses the patient who wanted to book right now.

A booking link on the profile that leads to a page built to book, connected to your calendar.

A patient who finds you can act immediately.
Reviews

Good visits that never become reviews?

HHS's Office for Civil Rights has settled with a dental practice over patient information disclosed in replies to online reviews (HHS OCR, December 2022).

A simple, respectful way to ask patients after a visit, with request wording that never mentions treatment. Replies are drafted for your approval and never confirm that a reviewer is a patient.

More reviews, and no privacy risk in how you ask or answer.
Upkeep

Profile set up once and never touched?

Holiday hours, new services, and new photos go stale when nobody owns the listing.

Regular updates to hours, photos, and services, and a check for changes suggested by others.

The listing keeps matching the practice.
Plain language

Reviews and privacy: what to keep in mind

Patients can say what they like in a review. Your practice has to be more careful in how it answers.

Google Business Profile FAQ

Didn't answer yours? Ask us directly. The form is right below.

A Google Business Profile is the free listing that shows a clinic's name, address, hours, phone number, photos, reviews, and booking link when people search Google or Maps. It is often what a patient sees before they see your website.

Yes, but carefully. Do not confirm that the reviewer is a patient or mention any detail of their care, even if they posted their own details. Reply with a general, courteous message and invite them to contact the office privately. HHS has settled with a practice over disclosures in review replies. Your compliance adviser can confirm the wording your practice should use.

Yes. The care is in the wording: a request should not mention treatments or diagnoses. A short, general message that asks how the visit went and shares the review link is enough.

Google's guidelines generally require a real location that patients can visit, or a genuine service area, with staff present during business hours. A registered address with no one there, or a shared virtual office, usually does not qualify. We check eligibility first, so nothing is set up that Google may later suspend.

You do. The profile belongs to your Google account, and we work through access you grant, which you can remove at any time.

The profile is one part of local search. Local SEO also covers your website pages, listings elsewhere on the web, and how you describe your services. See Practice Growth for how the parts fit together.
